HR-XML Consortium Appoints Questionmark CEO Eric Shepherd to 2010 Board of Directors
London, UK – April 30, 2010 --The HR-XML Consortium has named Questionmark CEO Eric Shepherd to its 2010 Board of Directors. Questionmark technologies are used extensively within HR settings for everything from talent acquisition and on-boarding to talent and team development. Pre-employment skills tests, psychological assessments, appraisals, attitude and opinion surveys and compliance testing are among the many HR-related applications of the Questionmark™ Perception™ assessment management system used worldwide by businesses, educational institutions, government agencies and other organisations. “I’m honored to serve on the Consortium’s board and delighted to contribute the Consortium’s initiatives to define, enhance and expand interoperability standards for human resources technology field,” said Shepherd. “Assessments are playing an increasingly strategic role throughout the talent management process, so I’m eager to play my part in helping the Consortium ensure the availability of dependable open data exchange standards.” Shepherd leads Questionmark in providing testing and assessment technologies and services to businesses, test publishers, government agencies, educational institutions and other organisations. He has championed the use of online assessments as tools for pre-employment testing, and for encouraging and improving the learning process and is recognised as one of the world’s authorities on assessment software. Shepherd was instrumental in the development of the Question and Test Interoperability standard and served as the first chairman of the Association of Test Publishers’ (ATP) European Division when it was started in 2006. He maintains a blog at http://blog.eric.info and has advised corporations, government departments, universities, schools and technical standards bodies on the deployment of online assessments and conducts seminars and workshops around the world on secure assessment technologies.
